Arbitration iii Richard Seligman has expanded his successful litigation practice to include Arbitration Services. Arbitration may be an effective way to resolve disputes and avoid delay of court dockets and the extensive costs of litigation. Often contracts require parties to submit to arbitration as a means of dispute resolution, as an alternative to court. An arbitrator acts as a third party neutral who decides disputed cases in accordance with a prior contractual agreement and state or federal laws which may apply. Typically, an arbitrator’s decision is a final resolution of the merits of a dispute and is enforceable under state or federal law. Mr. Seligman has actively participated as a litigator in many successful arbitration hearings in construction contract disputes in over 25 years of practice and found arbitration to be a benefit to his clients. He is now offering his services as an arbitrator to other attorneys in a variety of civil disputes. iii
